UPDATED - Cat's Hill Criterium - Los Gatos (RESULTS) and Wente results too!)

Trying to catch up from last week – two races to report on:

Wente Road Race - Pleasanton

First, here are the Wente Road Race Results – they were finally published at http://www.usacycling.org/results/index.php?year=2009&id=1092&info_id=16594

Junior 15-16:
Bjorn Fox – 2nd Place
Bob Siegel – 11th Place
Alex Howard – 15th Place

I also raced but had “dead legs” so didn’t do anything of note…as for pictures, I think Katie Fox has some, so perhaps she will send out a link later.

Cat's Hill Criterium - Los Gatos

Now, on to this weekend – the Cat’s Hill Criterium down in Los Gatos. This was the second year the boys raced here - good results this year!

Amidst clouds and rain, there was a strong turnout, and Team AC was represented by Spence and Skyler in Junior 13-14, with Bjorn, Isaiah, Bob, Alex, and Spence (second race of the day!) in the Junior 15-16 class.

Everyone did well, and fortunately no crashes marred this event. The course was damp at the Junior 13-14 race, but dried out for the Junior 15-16’s.

UPDATED - Results are now up at http://www.usacycling.org/results/index.php?event=2009-997

Junior 13-14:
Spence Peterson – 3rd Place (including winning a prime on one lap – he came away with TWO pizzas!)
Skyler Taylor – 6th Place (might have been 5th – someone else can confirm?)

Junior 15-16:
Amidst a large crowd mixed between 15-16, and 17-18 (totaling around 60-70 riders, the boys did very well overall:
Isaiah Rapko – 4th Place
Bjorn Fox – 7th Place
Bob Siegel – 12th Place
Spence Peterson – 14th Place
Alex Howard – 16th Place (because of a mechanical going up the steep hill at one point – cost him a lap)

Thanks to Blair for driving and setting up the tent – awesome location ½ block from the start! And to Ken for driving (so I could be a passenger this time!). And our friend Rich Frasier watched – visiting from Portland.
Fun day of racing, once again!
