Tom Fox provided this brief update on the Sunday race in Berkeley:
We went to watch Bjorn race at Berkeley Hills road race yesterday - it was a gorgeous day and it looks like a beautiful course.
I followed the neutral start up to the main loop of the Juniors race and rode the course backwards to the finish line, very hilly, with incredible landscape (doesn't feel like Berkeley). It would be fun to do this race next year with the AC Masters.
Bjorn had a good race but he got mingled in with another group on the sprint for the finish and blocked on the sprint. With the center line rule there was nowhere for him to go and he just stopped sprinting. I think he ended up in 3rd place in the end. It was a pretty large group of Juniors in the 13 - 14, 15 - 16 category.
